a friend in need is a friend indeed患難見真情--- a true friend is a person who will help you when you really need help.
Example:
When Sherry helped me move my baggages to my new apartment, I really learned the meaning of "A friend in need is a friend indeed."
當雪莉幫我搬行李，到新公寓，我學到患難見真情的意義。

fair-weather friend酒肉朋友---someone who is your friend only when things are pleasant or going well for you.
Example:
Billy stayed for breakfast but he wouldn't help me with the moving work. He's just a fair-weather friend.
比利吃了我的早餐，但是沒有幫忙幫搬家的工作，他真是個酒肉朋友。
